She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Évora and she has a Master's degree in Statistical Modelling and Data Analysis from the same university. Since February 2016, she has been a researcher at the Vienna Institute of Demography (FWF-projects 28071), as part of the project: "Running against the clock: realising family plans throughout life ". Her area of specialisation is Demography. She is an integrated member of CIDEHUS-UÉ.

Assistant professor in the Department of Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering and Tourism at the University of Aveiro and researcher at CIPES (Higher Education Policy Research Centre). He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Porto and a PhD in Business Sciences from Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. He works with GOVCOPP – Research Unit in Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies at the University of Aveiro and is an affiliate of the Global Labour Organisation. His research focuses on Labour Economics, Education and Higher Education.

He holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Évora, a Master’s degree in Statistical Modelling and Data Analysis from the same university and a Master’s degree in Demography from the University of Lund, European Doctoral School of Demography. His research focuses on the study of the rate of ageing and the preparation of mortality and population forecasts and projections. He is a member of the Interdisciplinary Centre for History, Cultures and Societies at the University of Évora.

Sociologist, PhD in Social Sciences, specialising in Development Sociology. He is an associate professor at the University of the Azores and a researcher at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Social Sciences (CICS.Nova.UAçores and CICS.UAc). His research focuses on the themes of poverty, the RSI and child poverty, among others. He is director of the Master's degree in Social Policies and Regional Dynamics and co-coordinator of the Poverty, Social Exclusion and Social Policies section of the Portuguese Sociological Association. He works with the European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN) and was a co-author of the Regional Strategy to Combat Poverty in the Azores. He is a member of the region's Economic and Social Council.

He has a PhD in Economics from Birkbeck, University of London and a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Coimbra. He is the author or coordinator of eight books on the Portuguese economy and has published articles in international scientific journals. He has worked as a consultant for public and private organisations, including the European Commission, the Portuguese Government, Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Court of Auditors, the Portuguese Business Confederation (CIP), the Portuguese Insurance Association and the Porto Commercial Association. He is a member of the panel of commentators on RTP3's 360º programme and works regularly with the media.

Carlos Farinha Rodrigues
An economist and Associate Professor at the Higher Institute of Economics and Management (ISEG). He is a consultant at the National Statistics Institute (INE) in the area of household statistics.
His research focuses on microeconomics, income distribution, poverty and inequality, and public policy evaluation. He is the author of several studies on poverty and inequality in Portugal, as well as on the effectiveness of social policies.
He was President of the Institute of Public Policy from 2015 to 2020. He was a member of the Coordination Committee for drawing up the National Strategy to Fight Poverty.
He holds a PhD from the Technical University of Lisbon under the supervision of Tony Atkinson (Oxford University), with the thesis «Income Distribution, Inequality and Poverty: Portugal in the 1990s».

Andreia Maciel
She got her PhD in Sociology from the University of Évora in 2015 and a Master's degree in Sociology from the same university. Her area of specialisation is demography, and her research focuses on fertility, studying the ideal family size, fertility intentions in the short term and throughout people’s lives. She is an integrated member of CIDEHUS-UÉ.

Anália Torres
She has a PhD in Sociology and she is a full professor and coordinator of the Sociology Unit at the University of Lisbon Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences (ISCSP). She founded and now runs the Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies (CIEG) at ISCSP. She has been a member of the team responsible for implementing the European Social Survey in Portugal since 2002.
She is an expert on subjects such as gender, family, marriage, divorce, work/family relations, the protection of children and young people, moral and sexual harassment and has set up several Master’s and postgraduate courses in these areas. Her research has served as the basis for legislative changes, such as the amendment to the divorce law or the changes relating to moral and sexual harassment.

She has been part of several international research networks under Framework Programmes 6, 7 and the European Commission's Horizon 2020. She was President of the Portuguese Sociological Association (2002-2006) and the European Sociological Association (2009-2011). She was on the European Research Council’s Institutions, values, beliefs and behaviour evaluation panel and has held a number of positions in the International Sociological Association. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Higher Education Assessment and Accreditation Agency (A3ES) since 2020.
