Maria João Valente Rosa
Professor at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Nova University Lisbon (FCSH/UNL), she has a PhD in Sociology, specialising in Demography. She was director of PORDATA – Database of Contemporary Portugal, a project of Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos, where she also coordinated the scientific area of Population. She has held management positions in various public bodies in the Ministries of Education and Science, Technology and Higher Education. She is a member of the Statistical Council and a member of the Executive Board of the European Statistical Advisory Committee. She is the author and coordinator of numerous published studies on Portuguese society, including "Portugal and Europe: the numbers", "Ageing of Portuguese Society", "Immigrant contributions to Portuguese demography: the role of foreign nationality populations" and "Being born in Portugal" (multimedia work), among others.

Miguel Morgado
Miguel Morgado is an Assistant Professor at the Lisbon Catholic University Institute of Political Studies. He has a PhD in Political Science, a Master’s degree in Political Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. Between 2011 and 2015, he was Political Advisor to the Prime Minister and member of Parliament between 2015-2019. He has written several articles and book chapters, as well as annotated translations of classic works of political theory, such as Montesquieu, Do Espírito das Leis (Edições 70, 2011), Francis Bacon, Nova Atlântida e a Grande Instauração (Edições 70, 2008), John Locke, Dois Tratados do Governo Civil (Edições 70, 2007), Leo Strauss, Direito Natural e História (Edições 70, 2009). Each of these Portuguese editions was introduced by an extensive interpretative essay. He is also the author of several monographs: Sovereignty. Of its Uses and Abuses in Political Life (Dom Quixote, 2021), O Conservadorismo do Futuro e outros ensaios (Edições 70, 2017), Autoridade (FFMS, 2010), A Aristocracia e os seus críticos (Edições 70, 2008). Together with Rui Ramos, he co-authored the collective work “Linhas Direitas. Política e Cultura à Direita” (Dom Quixote, 2019). Together with Hugo Chelo, he co-authored Histórias e Fragmentos da Arte Empresarial (Actual Editora, 2013). He also participated in the book by João Carlos Espada, Miguel Morgado, and Hugo Chelo, Riqueza e Pobreza (Principia, 2001).

Alexandre Soares dos Santos
Alexandre Soares dos Santos was born in Porto in 1934 and died in Lisbon in August 2019. He attended the Lisbon Law Faculty and began working as a trainee manager at Unilever N.V. in 1957, having had internships in Germany and Ireland. This was the beginning of an international career at Unilever, which included working as Marketing Director for Unilever Brasil between 1964 and 1968. In 1968, he returned to Portugal to join the Board of Directors of Grupo Jerónimo Martins as Delegate-Director, before taking on the role of Chairman of the Executive Committee, which he held along with the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors from 1996 to 2013. He was Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation until his death.

Susana Salgado
She was a researcher at the University of Lisbon Institute of Social Sciences, where she obtained a PhD in Political Sociology and taught political communication and media and politics. She was also a researcher at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford University in the UK. With a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and a Master's degree in Social Sciences with the thesis "The Vehicles of Political Communication – A Study of an Electoral Campaign in the Media", she also worked as a journalist and communication consultant before devoting herself to her academic career.
Her work focuses on the impact of the media on democracy. She was recently vice-chair of a European working group set up to analyse the consequences of populist political communication on democratic life in Europe and the changes in communication systems and the media. She is currently working on comparative studies of the media and its influence on democratic and social construction in Europe, Brazil and Africa.

Professor of Political Science at ISCTE, researcher and member of the Sondagens ICS-ISCTE consortium.
He holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute in Florence. Over the last 15 years, he has carried out research into electoral behaviour and public opinion, as well as electoral systems, the relationship between politics and entertainment, and the effects of the media and campaigns.
He has had several articles published in scientific journals and book chapters published by Oxford University Press, Routledge and other publishing houses. He wrote the Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos essay «Politics and Entertainment» and co-coordinated, with João Cancela, the «Mechanisms and Impacts of Electoral Abstention» project promoted by the same institution.

Economist, specialist in housing and tourism. She taught at the University of Madeira for 10 years and worked as a researcher at ISEG.
She wrote the book "Tourism in Portugal" (2016) and is co-author of Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos study "The real estate market in Portugal" (2022).
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Nova University Lisbon, a Master's degree in Economics and European Studies from the Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ISEG) and a PhD in Economics from ISEG. She is a contributor to the "Tempestade perfeita" programme on Rádio Observador and a columnist for the online newspaper "Eco".

Nuno Félix da Costa
Nuno Félix da Costa: A psychiatrist, he was a professor at the Lisbon School of Medicine (Psychology, Psychiatry, Psychopathology, Psychophysiology, Neurophysiology, Neuroscience).
He has published more than ten books of prose and poetry since 1995. He is the author of four photo books, the last of which was "Portugal was like this", (Cortex Frontal, 2024).
He has had painting, photography and painting on photography exhibits since 1983 in several dozen solo and collective exhibitions.
He was born in Lisbon in 1950.

Journalist, she is a sub-director at Visão magazine and editor at Exame magazine. Throughout her career, she has covered topics related to business, economics, management, human rights, sustainability and innovation.
In 2020, she won the Grand Prize for Economic Journalism for her work «Money is Green», a report on green finance and environmental challenges. She also received an honourable mention in the Human Rights Journalism Award & Integration for covering human dignity issues in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique.
She is the author of Girl Talk, in Exame magazine, and the Sambando in Lisbon blog in the Estado de São Paulo newspaper.
