Luís Aguiar-Conraria holds a BA from the University of Coimbra, an MA from the University of Porto, and a PhD from Cornell University.
He is professor of Economics at the University of Minho, where he primarily teaches Macroeconomics and Quantitative Methods, and has also held various leadership positions.
Luís is the author of dozens of scientific articles, one book, and the co-author of two others. His research covers economic cycles, political economy, wavelet applications in economics, among other subjects, and in 2011, he received the Gulbenkian Award for the Internationalisation of Social Sciences.
